Endometriosis – A painful condition where tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus, often causing severe cramps and infertility.
 

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) – A hormonal disorder that affects ovulation, leading to irregular periods, weight gain, and acne.
 

Uterine Fibroids – Non-cancerous growths in the uterus that can cause heavy periods and severe pelvic pain.
 

Cervical Dysplasia – Abnormal cell growth in the cervix, often caused by HPV and detected through Pap smears.
 

Pap Smear – A screening test to detect abnormal cells on the cervix that may lead to cancer. The National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) advises women 30-60 to have a pap smear every five years. 
 

Mammogram – A breast X-ray used to detect early signs of breast cancer. Per the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM), it is advised that women 50-75 receive a screening every two years. 
 

Breast Density – Refers to the amount of fibrous vs. fatty tissue in the breast, affecting mammogram accuracy.
 

Ovarian Cysts – Fluid-filled sacs on the ovaries, which are usually harmless but sometimes cause pain or irregular periods.
 

Vaginitis – Inflammation of the vagina, causing itching, discharge, and discomfort.
 

Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) – A common vaginal infection caused by an imbalance of bacteria, leading to discharge and odor.
 

Yeast Infection – A fungal infection in the vagina causing itching, burning, and thick discharge.
 

Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) – Infections spread through sexual contact, including chlamydia, HPV, herpes, and HIV.
 

Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) – An infection in the bladder or urinary system that causes burning, frequent urination, and pain.
 

Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) – An infection of the female reproductive organs, often caused by untreated STIs.
